Seven Bridges Ice Arena (SBIA) has the basic philosophy that anyone can learn to ice skate and achieve their goals by learning how to be the best you can be. We are here to provide each student with a fun experience as well as a commitment to the sport. Some skaters have Olympic aspirations, others are purely recreational. We have designed our Skate School programs to help you achieve your skating goals, whatever they may be.
Most of our Skate School sessions run for seven weeks. If you are taking one class per week, you should practice two to three times per week in addition to your class time. We offer practice session times that are included in your class registration fee. These times are held either before or after your class. All of our coaching staff must strictly adhere to SBIA’s Skate School standards manual when considering the advancement of a skater to the next level. When the skater has mastered each required maneuver, they will pass onto the next level, starting the next session.
Basic Skills Program: This program is an introductory program for the beginner level skater. It is designed to encourage and reward skaters who are learning the fundamentals and basics in the sport of figure skating.
