There's no doubt about it, zooming around on the ice is a fantastic way to embrace winter and get some exercise at the same time. It is a lifelong activity that provides many positive benefits, so why not learn how to skate?
The Skate School at Seven Bridges offers multiple programs for people with a desire to master the skill of ice skating. We have developed a world-class program that provides all participants a positive atmosphere to achieve their goals, whether they are to simply learn to ice skate for fun, or to become a hockey player/figure skater.
Our instructional staff are trained professionals with a passion for ice sports. Their infectious attitude will give beginners a needed comfort level to succeed, while keeping each class fun and rewarding.

Make-Up Classes: Classes missed may be made up on any day and time that the skaters current level is offered. No prior notification is necessary. On the day you are making up please check in at the information table to obtain a makeup sticker. All Make- ups must be made up in the same session. No make- ups will cross over to the next session. No make-ups on the first week of a new session. |

Learn to Skate USA Membership:
Our academy is built around the Learn To Skate USA model. And all skaters enrolling in our Basic 2 or higher programs are required to register with Learn to Skate USA. It is an annual July through June membership that assures you:

- Are a member of the best skating program endorsed by U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey and US speedskating.
- Gain great information to make sure your first glides on ice are successful ones.
- Access full listings of where to sign up for skating classes.
- Receive a Welcome Packet in the mail, which includes a subscription to Learn To Skate USA The Magazine valued at $3 (allow 2-4 weeks for delivery)
- Receive secondary sport accident insurance
- Participate in lessons, performances, competitions, and all activities associated with Learn to Skate USA.

All Skating Classes include FREE Admission to Public Skate
and Stick & Puck Sessions while student is enrolled in class.
The Parent/Tot class is a great way to introduce your tot to the ice all while being able to skate with them! They will learn to stand and support themselves on the ice, fall down and get back up, and march through fun games and activities.

Tot's is an introductory class designed for children ages 4 -5 with no prior skating experience to build confidence while learning the basic skills of skating. These classes are designed to help children develop the ABCs of movement – Agility, Balance, Coordination and speed.

The Basic Skills levels are introductory classes for children between the ages 6 through 12 with little to no prior skating experience. These levels teach the fundamentals of skating and provide the best foundation for figure skating and hockey. Skaters will learn and master forward and backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers and turns.
All classes are well structured with the focus on proper skill development and mastery through professional instruction in a fun, safe, social and positive environment.

Intro to Theater on IceSkaters are introduced to expression, performance basics, choreography and have a LOT of fun!

Introduction to theater on ice is a 40 minute class open to Basic 4 and above. The skaters will be introduced to expression, performance basics, choreography and a lot of fun! They will learn how to tell a story through dance and movement on ice.

The Freeskate levels introduce skaters to jumps, spins and advanced beginner skating skills and transitions that figure skaters use when they compete. Professional instructors break down each skill and teach the skaters the foundation of proper jump and spin technique, as well as strong skating and edge skills in a safe and educational group setting.

Seven Bridges Ice Arena offers Adult skating classes as a part of our Skate School. The Adult class is “at your own pace” and is perfect for beginners, continuing adult skaters or skaters who are returning to the ice after years of hiatus.

Therapeutic Skating is designed to help physically or developmentally challenged skaters develop skills and enhance their skating experience by allowing them to reach obtainable objectives while working toward one long-term goal.
